WWII Uniforms - Fighter Pilot Gear - (F-6) According to Mick Prodger's excellent book "Luftwaffe vs. RAF: Flying Equipment of the Air War, 1939-45", there were 3 variants of the Aircrew First aid kit -- The Mk I, MkII and MkIII. The one kit displayed on my fighter pilot is stamped MkIII. The one shown above has no markings. The only difference is the printing of contents. Luftwaffe 'used' flying trousers - Typical of privately purchased trousers used by Luftwaffe aircrew along with private purchase jackets. A very similar pair can be seen on p.81 of 'Luftwaffe vs. RAF - Flying Clothing of the Air War, 1939-45' by Mick Prodger. They are a little soiled but in excellent overall condition and would no doubt clean up beautifully with some light leather dressing. These would look great on a mannequin display. Stock code S22464.
